G Suite: Google changed the name “Google for Work” into “G Suite”

G Suite (formerly Google Apps for Work and Google Apps for Your Domain) is a suite of cloud computing and software offered on a subscription basis use by Google. The apps help people everywhere work and innovate together. On September 2016, the name ‘G Suite’ is introduced. The name and logo had changed. But the powerful features, services and pricing remain the same.

Generally G Suite includes googles web applications like Google Drive, Gmail, Google Hangouts, Google calendar and Google Docs. G Suite mainly add business features. Example: @yourcompany.com. The G Suite products are always available to users with free of charge. More than 5 million organizations around the world use G Suite.

Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Hangouts, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Forms, Google+, Google Sites, and Google Apps Vaults.

It was launched on April 1, 2004. Gmail is one among the most popular web email services in the world. On 2007 onwards, it became open to all. 15 GB of free storage is the most popular feature. Also has got conversations, search capabilities etc.

While Gmail in G Suite provides a number of features for business users.

For the consumer version, it provides 15 GB storage.

It was released on October 11, 2016. These apps are online editors to create documents, spreadsheets, presentations and surveys. All of them works on web browser. Major feature is its unlimited revision history that keep all changes made by user.

Introduced on February 28, 2008. Google Sites helps people to create and edit webpages even though they don’t have anything about it. All of them can create the page, upload images and videos and give permission for particular people to view.

  • Google Calendar

It was launched on April 13, 2016. It is an online sharable calendar. It is very useful for business teams. They can create an online calendar for their sake and it can be shared.

  • Google Hangouts

It was announced on May 15, 2013. Its features replace Google’s Google talk, Google Voice and Google+. Texting, chatting and video chatting are the functions. G Suite Google Hangouts supports up to 15 participants. And can choose to restrict Hangouts only to the people having the same domain. The messages will be stored in the cloud. So that history can be verified in the future.

It was launched on June 28, 2011. Google+ had become the second largest social networking site after Facebook. Google+ is also a business network that help small businesses get noticed.

  • Google Apps Vault

It was announced on March 28, 2012. It helps customers to find and preserve messages. It also helps to manage things to get regularity, continuity etc. Google Apps Vault is also a part of Drive for Work.
